TripAdvisor review: Famous Road to Hana, Tropical Rainforest, Waterfalls, Beaches & Lunch
My wife and I did the tour a week ago. Everything was great from the transportation to the food. The
guide, Rodney, was fantastic. Was very friendly and informative but not boring at all. He kept the whole
group involved during the tour and made it a fun experience.

The Best Experience of our lives!!!
TripAdvisor review: Famous Road to Hana, Tropical Rainforest, Waterfalls, Beaches & Lunch
My husband has never been to Hawaii before and the last time I was there was 1993. We have heard about the “road to Hana” for several years from hundreds of people. Our time in Maui was short; and we had mixed reviews about going to “Hana”. Many people said “you’ll get sick don’t go”, other people said “it’s an amazing trip”. The truth is, I get sick when my husband drives me anywhere (lol) so I knew WE were not going to drive! My husband is a huge history guy and loves knowledge and any type of history so we decided to book this tour. Having 8 grown children ourselves (all grown) we were surprised that a young child in a car seat was in attendance. Honestly for the length of the tour I didn’t think that was an option but none the less we were there and off we went.

Rodneys energy, positive attitude at 630am was beyond impressive. When you think of a “tour” you might think about 12 stranger in an elevator for 12 hrs; that is NOT what Rodney or this tour was about! He immediately engaged all of us asking us about who we are, which immediately made everything less awkward. In between getting to know us, he was educating us on things that were interesting and incredible to even the person like me who is not a history person! The entire trip was SO fun, enlightening, and educating! To make it even better was not the ROAD to Hana but Rodney!!!!! Omgosh he was SO funny, and educational but the music he had prepared for us for EVERY mile of the trip was epic! I have never seen Jurassic park but when he started playing the theme song when we went through that area, I now want to see the movie!!!

This tour is not just to and from Hana it is all the way around the mountain! I didn’t realize that either! The education of the island, the typography, the history, the culture and OH HANA was absolutely incredible! I learned more that day than I learned in the last 4 yrs of high school!

I do want to add that the baby in the car seat was unbelievably good! But what made him even better was how Rodney interacted with him! Omgosh he was so funny w him and he was so well behaved! (Thank God!!) my husband and I are time management freaks bc time is the most important asset you have! This was a day WELL spent and I give Rodney ALL the credit!! Thank you Rodney! I’ve never met anyone w that amount of energy and talent and education for THAT long! Ps I’m still dreaming of that banana bread! See you in AZ my friend! Our home is your home, thank you for making your home apart of us and us apart of your home! Beyond grateful!
